dimension, the Shadow Scout rips reality from beneath the aliens, who fall
through deepest space toward a wondrous, luminous globe the size of a million
suns. Bodiless, they can see and comprehend, and each alien holds the same
question in consciousness: “Where are we?”
“We are in time,” a
responsive awareness answers. It belonged to the Shadow Scout. “But we travel
toward a place.”
