with the rude and unhelpful Mickey, Bridget has better luck with the yellow
cat. “Don’t mind Mickey,” Tucker said. “He just acts tough. Are you hungry?
There’s food inside.”

2.17 Gwendolyn, who smells this
food, is already at a window looking in. She easily intimidated the slow-witted
Mickey, who ran off, tail between his legs.

2.18 “Not that way,” Tucker
hollers up to the calico. “Follow me.” And she leads them through a narrow
opening and into a large space with two bowls of food. Of course,
neither alien suspects that living within this strange shelter is a primate.
