3.10 For more than a week,
hiding and sleeping in the growing greenery of spring, the two aliens keep a
watchful gaze on the house. Eating their fill of field mice and moles, they
never go hungry and even become somewhat comfortable with their surroundings.

Gwendolyn wakes to find Tucker staring over her.

hide outside, you know,” she says. “The human we live with is pretty cool.” And
so begins a long exchange of information, where Gwendolyn learns all about the
“human,” her house, and the way things work.
